Community Service Agency Provider Refresher – 6 hours
Refreshes and adds to the basic CSA training for people that are already CSA certified and provides advancement in skills and knowledge as required by most States. The training provides common situations that may occur in the following areas: Day to Day operations in a clinical or behavioral health setting, Behavioral Health Mission, Client’s Rights and Opportunities, Ethical Behavior among clients and staff according to USPRA, Confidentiality, Confidentiality of Records, Promoting Dignity, Independence and Strength of Choices, Understanding Choice and Strength through Motivational Interviewing, Recognizing Common Signs & Symptoms in Adults and Children, Crisis Management and Recognizing a potential crisis, Record Keeping and Documentation including progress notes, History of Mental Health Care in the US and the State, Crisis Management. This course uses Roberta L. Howard curriculum. Certificates of completion are provided and the Trainer can sign off the forms needed for Arizona, California and Nevada Depts. of Behavioral Health and the Veteran’s Administration.
